South County Faith Network

Finally, in order to keep the operation going, the organization must raise money to cover expenses. The group is currently completing its “Sock Something Away for Seniors –2006” campaign. Church members are asked to fill a tube sock with change, bills or enclose a check. With the results in from nine of the twelve member churches a total of over $5,000 has been raised. While the total received may fall short of the initial goal of $10,000 the group feels it has a good chance to collect more than $8,000 by the end of the campaign. The Chaney Foundation made a $5,000 donation to the South County Faith Network which has ensured that the Network will receive the full $10,000 second year matching grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.. Additional fundraising events will be held throughout the year.
